Description
REMERTON, Ga. (WCTV) - The City of Remerton has updated its curfew on bars, pushing back its current midnight cutoff to 1 a.m.
Previously, bars in the South Georgia city were allowed to stay open until 2 a.m. However, that was temporarily changed to midnight last month in response to recent shootings and violence near bars.
Remerton’s Police Department says now, a formal vote makes the 1 a.m. curfew permanent unless leaders choose to revisit the issue in the future.
