Description
THOMAS COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) – The Thomas County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO) is warning the public about phone scams.
TCSO says they will not solicit money for missing court or jury duty, and they will not call you to request payment. Residents should never give out personal information or purchase cards to send money to callers claiming to be from the sheriff’s office.
If you receive a phone call stating that you owe money for missing jury duty or any other court-related fees, hang up immediately or contact the Thomas County Sheriff’s Office to verify the information.
