ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) -Tonight’s the night! Albany will be hosting, A Night of Elegance, a senior citizens prom night for ages 50 and up.

This special event will be held at the Albany Civic Center located at 100 West Oglethorpe Blvd. The dance will begin Friday, June 20, at 7 p.m. and conclude at 11 p.m. Tickets are $30 and must be preordered. No tickets will be sold at the door.

Every year, this event sees over 200 senior citizens dressed up in their best tuxes and dresses.

The event was created as a way to show senior citizens they are appreciated and loved.
