PERRY, Ga. — Kids at the Georgia National Fair are getting a taste of rodeo life by participating in mutton busting, an event organized by Brice Wilson and the Wool Riders Association.
"You never know what you're going to get when you have a bunch of kids riding sheep," said Wilson.
The event, now in its second year at the fair, saw over 600 children participate last year. Equipped with helmets and headgear, the young riders aim to hang on for six seconds as they ride sheep out of the chute., and in to the arena.
Wilson encourages families to join in the fun: "Just give it a try. Bring your kids, grandkids, your great grandkids. Just come out and see us."
