BLAKELY, Ga. (WALB) — The city of Blakely is welcoming a new Chief of Police this summer.
Gregory Elder will be sworn in as the Blakely Police Chief on Thursday, June 18, the city announced. Along with his swearing in ceremony, the city is hosting a meet and greet with the new leader.
The event will take place Thursday at 6 p.m. at the Blakely City Hall, located at 802 Court Square, according to the city.
