BLAKELY, Ga. (WALB) - Blakely Police are investigating a shooting that left a juvenile injured on Thursday, April 3.

According to BPD, at around 10:20 p.m., officers responded to reports of gunshots in the area of Palmetto Avenue. Upon arrival, authorities discovered that a juvenile had sustained gunshot wounds at a residence. The identity of the juvenile and their current condition have not yet been released.

It was reported that several suspects were seen fleeing the area shortly after the shots were fired.

Authorities are urging anyone who may have witnessed the shooting or has any information related to the incident to come forward. The Blakely Police Department has assured the public that tips can be provided anonymously. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact investigators directly at (229) 723-5500.
