Macon, Ga (WGXA) - The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office has made multiple arrests in connection with a Theft by Taking Auto investigation that occurred early Sunday morning, October 12, 2025.
Investigators spotted a Nissan Sentra—reported stolen two days earlier—parked at Checkers on Mercer University Drive around 2:30 a.m. When officers attempted to contact the occupants, the driver fled from the scene, prompting a pursuit.
During the chase, one female passenger jumped from the vehicle on Bailey Avenue and tried to run but was quickly apprehended. Deputies later stopped the car on Anthony Road, where another passenger fled and was also caught. The driver and a second female passenger were taken into custody at the scene.
Inside the recovered stolen vehicle, investigators found a firearm, loaded magazine, air pistol, marijuana, and dark clothing and gloves.
The suspects were identified as 20-year-old Dominic Ramon McCrary and 32-year-old Nicholas Gregory Jenkins, along with two female passengers, ages 18 and 25. The women were transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries reported during the incident.
McCrary and Jenkins were booked into the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center.
Dominic McCrary faces charges including Felony Theft by Receiving Stolen Property, Felony Fleeing and Eluding, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute, Willful Obstruction, and Probation Violation. His bond has been denied.
Nicholas Jenkins faces similar charges and is also being held without bond. The case remains under investigation, and additional charges are possible.
