ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WEAR) — Deputies continue their investigation into a "shots fired" call at Corry Station in Escambia County after authorities found no signs of an active shooter.
WEAR reported it happened around 10 a.m. at the station on Chiefs Way off of Navy Boulevard.
Escambia County Sheriff Chip Simmons told WEAR at 11:15 a.m. that deputies received a call for three gunshots. However, at this time after sweeping the building, there are no signs of an active shooter. No one has been found injured. An investigation is ongoing.
"Our Security team is responding swiftly and expertly with our local law enforcement partners," said Capt. Chandra Newman with NAS Pensacola. "Our concern is always the safety and welfare of our service members and their families. Our security forces will continue to work with responding law enforcement to process the crime scene."
Corry Station and NAS Pensacola is on lockdown -- and roads in the area are closed -- as law enforcement works the scene.
The massive law enforcement presence on scene includes Escambia County deputies, Pensacola Police, EMS, helicopters, FDLE and more.
