ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — An Atlanta church community is mourning the death of Father John Howren, who died as a result of complications from the flu.
The Catholic Archdiocese of Atlanta confirmed the priest’s death. Father John had served at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus since 2020.
Funeral arrangements have not yet been announced.
