TIFTON, Ga. (WALB) - An arrest has been made in connection to the deceased baby found in a dumpster outside of the Brookfield Mews Apartment Complex in Tifton on Thursday.

Today, the Tifton Police Department announced the arrest of Selena Maria Chandler Scott, 24, of Tifton.

She is facing the following charges:

• One count of concealing the death of another person
• One count of throwing away or abandonment of a dead body prohibited

Scott is being held in the Tift County Sheriff’s Office awaiting her first appearance. This case is still active and ongoing.
