ATLANTA, Ga. (WALB) - Thursday, Jan. 9, has been declared to be a national day of mourning for the state funeral of former President Jimmy Carter.

The 39th president died in his home at 100 years old on Dec. 29.

In observance, all Georgia Disaster Recovery Centers will be closed.

While the centers are closed, disaster survivors in Georgia can still apply or check their application status here.

The center will resume normal operations on Friday, Jan. 10.
