ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) — A release from the city of Albany states that starting on Monday, Feb. 9, the Albany Transit System will have operational changes to bus route hours. Adjustments include expanding weekday service by starting routes one hour earlier in the morning and extending service two hours later in the evening to better accommodate rider needs better, improve accessibility and align service with peak travel times.

Weekday Service (Monday–Friday):
- The first bus routes will begin service at 5:15 a.m.
- The final routes will depart at 7:15 p.m.
- The Orange Line and Silver Line will be combined into a single route during weekdays service.
Saturday Service:
- Service hours will operate from 6:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.
- The Orange Line and Silver Line will be combined into a single route on Saturdays.
- The Blue Line will not operate on Saturdays.
Blue Line Route – Weekday Schedule Only
The Blue Line will operate on a modified schedule, Monday through Friday only:
- Service will begin at 6:45 a.m.
- The final route will depart at 4:45 p.m.
- There will be a scheduled service shutdown from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
All other routes will follow the standard weekday and Saturday schedules outlined above. Albany Transit encourages riders to plan their trips and review the updated schedules before travel. Updated route maps and schedules will be available through Albany Transit’s official communication channels.
