ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - The victim in a shooting on July 28 in Albany is now in stable condition, the Albany Police Department (APD) announced on July 29.
APD said that the 19-year-old victim called police dispatch from the 500 block of Emily Avenue, saying that he had been shot. After searching, police found the victim at South Madison Street and Zackery Avenue, where they said the victim’s vehicle had left the road and crashed into a fence. The vehicle had multiple bullet holes, police said.
The victim was taken to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital for his injuries.
APD said that their investigators are working to identify suspects.
