ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - During the Albany Police Department’s (APD) weekly Media Monday press conference, details were provided on a shooting that took place on Sunday, April 20.
Chief Michael Persley said that police responded to R&M Groceries and Quality Meats, located in the 700 block of West Highland Avenue, at around 10:03 p.m. after receiving calls in reference to a shooting.
Police say the suspect, an unidentified female, pulled up to the front of the store in a red Jeep Cherokee and fired a shot at a 61-year-old man who was walking in front of the store.
The man was not hit, however, the bullet did hit the store and came close to hitting the business owners who were inside the store.
