ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) – The Albany Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Bureau is asking for the public’s assistance in locating James Anthony Wilcox, 53, who is wanted in connection with a theft by taking and theft by deception case.
Wilcox is accused of stealing stereo amplifiers belonging to his ex-girlfriend and selling them to an unsuspecting buyer. The buyer later provided officers with a sales receipt documenting the transaction.
According to APD, Wilcox’s last known address is in the 700 block of W. Society Avenue. He is approximately 5′8″ tall and weighs around 200 lbs.
Wilcox is known to frequent the area near the apartments on West Society Avenue, across from the stadium.
