Description
ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - A few more showers continue into the night as a backdoor cold front rests over the northern part of South Georgia. Most showers will mainly produce rainfall, but a few storms cannot be ruled out. Low tonight will be down in the mid to upper 60s.
Monday will start with cloud cover before showers move in by the afternoon. Areas north of Highway 84 will hold on to clouds most of the day, but cloud cover will move out of areas near the Florida Stateline faster. This will prevent temperatures from rising above the low 80s for some, but those along Highway 84 will have highs in the upper 80s before showers move in as the seabreeze interacts with our cold front. Storms are possible, but will mainly bring heavy rain, lightning, and gusty winds.
Temperatures will remain above average through the rest of the week as highs climb to the middle to upper 80s and lows remain in the 60s. Rain chances will be low Tuesday through Thursday as high pressure rests over the area. However, a few mornings could feature patchy fog. The next best chance for rainfall is on Friday into Saturday as a new front enters the area.
