TIFTON, Ga. (WALB) - Authorities are investigating a deadly house fire in Tifton that claimed the life of an 88-year-old man.
The Tifton Fire Department and the State Fire Marshal are looking into the cause of the fire, which occurred at 2011 Hall Avenue.
Deputy Coroner Blair Veazey confirmed the death, but no further details about the victim have been released at this time.
Officials urge residents to stay cautious and ensure fire safety measures are in place while the investigation continues.
