ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - A weak cold front is pushing through South Georgia with light winds out of the northwest. These winds will usher in drier conditions and slightly cooler air into the morning. However, enough moisture will remain to lead to some dense patchy fog. Lows tonight will fall into the mid-40s.

Monday will be dry, with sunshine taking over by the afternoon. Highs will be in the upper 60s and low 70s. During the evening, clouds will start building in as a southerly wind moves in to drive in moisture. This will aid everyone in developing dense fog on Tuesday morning ahead of another cold front.

New Year’s Eve is Tuesday and the cold front will usher in low-end rain chances, but the main concern will be the arctic air. Tuesday’s highs will be in the 70s, but lows will dip into the upper 30s and low 40s after the front.

Wednesday is New Year’s Day, and we are starting 2025 with another winter blast. Highs will be in the 50s and 60s, with lows in the 30s through the weekend, as another cold front helps reinforce the cold air. Happy New Year SGA!
