Description
WAYNE COUNTY, Ga. (WTOC) - An 11-year-old found responsible for a Wayne County boy’s death last year will remain under state supervision for the next 10 years.
This is the latest development in the case of Noah Bush, the Wayne County 8-year-old who was drowned to death in a pit last May. His head was held underwater by this 11-year-old, and he admitted to it in police interrogation.

A 10 and 11-year-old were both charged in Noah’s death and sentenced to two years confinement this past August.
WTOC reported earlier this week that the 11-year-old was released from the Department of Juvenile Justice.
Thursday, a judge ruled that child will have to remain under supervision until they are 21 years old, according to the Bush family attorney.
Bush’s family was also granted $15,000 in restitution.
According to the Bush family’s attorney, the juvenile will have to abide by the following conditions:
- The child cannot petition to attend or attend Wayne County Public Schools.
- The child will have to work when eligible to be able to pay Noah’s family this money.
- The child must also continue to be law-abiding, and if any conditions/laws are violated he’ll be sent back to custody in a DJJ facility.
The 10-year-old involved in the case, we’re learning has not been released from custody. According to his parents, he has been in intense therapy and treatment since right after his separate sentencing.
He has since turned 11-years-old. They say he’s also traumatized by Noah’s killing and told the GBI he too was threatened with a knife by the other 11-year-old during the time of Noah’s killing, the parents say.
These parents are also pushing for law enforcement to bring more charges against the 11-year-old’s mother, Natalie Hardison.
Hardison was arrested on July 10th, the same day as the two children, for felony charges including making false statements to police during the investigation into Noah’s death. Along with probation and truancy charges, both misdemeanors, according to the sheriff’s office.
They believe there is more to the story of what happened that day and her role in it... These parents say they want to see more charges brought against her, as does Noah’s family, for her role in Noah’s death investigation.
The 10, now 11-year-old’s parents also say they will be homeschooling him, and he will not return to the Wayne County School System.
The Bush family attorney wants law enforcement to also focus on Hardison & her role in the investigation. They also plan to pursue civil matters for prosecution now, including that the burrow bit Noah was forcefully drowned in, is county-owned and maintained.
For now, the Bush family, along with many supporters are gathering at the CVS in Jesup to protest on Friday nights for more justice and accountability in Wayne County.
