ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — A driver died on Saturday morning after Atlanta police say they hit a MARTA bus head-on.
According to officers, the incident happened near 266 Hamilton E. Holmes Dr. NW, which is by Frederick Douglass High School, at around 8:15 a.m.

Police believe a Jeep Patriot crossed into an opposing lane, smashing into the bus. The Jeep’s driver was taken to the hospital, where they later died. They have not been identified.
Seven people were inside the bus when the accident happened, but nobody reported critical injuries, police said.
