Description
COFFEE COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) — The Coffee County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) arrested 65-year-old Gloria Rush on Jan. 8, after an investigation into the alleged financial exploitation of a vulnerable adult.
According to investigators, Rush was the representative payee for an individual who was unable to manage their funds due to “mental limitations.”
Rush was only authorized to use the funds for approved living expenses and necessities.
Police said that Rush exceeded her authority and used a portion of the money for personal expenses over an extended period.
Rush was charged with theft by conversion by the CCSO.
Anyone with information regarding financial exploitation is asked to contact authorities at (912) 384-4227.
