ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - The city of Albany will activate Operation Safe Place due to freezing overnight temperatures.
According to a release from the city, the warming center will be open on Monday, Dec. 8, and Tuesday, Dec. 9. The Albany Transit Center, at 300 W. Oglethorpe Blvd., will be open from 6 p.m. to 7 a.m. on Monday and Tuesday.
The transit center will then resume regular operations at 7 a.m., on Tuesday, Dec. 9, and Wednesday, Dec. 10.
The city said the current forecast shows that freezing temperatures are expected overnight on Monday and Tuesday.
