WASHINGTON (TNND) — President Donald Trump delivered remarks at the Governor's Working Session in the White House State Dining Room.
Trump is hosting a bipartisan group of Governors at the White House as part of the The National Governors Association winter meetings.
According to images taken by Getty, governors Sarah Huckabee Sanders, D-AR and Josh Shapiro, D-PA, are in attendance.
Also, there is U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard.
The Associated Press reported that Trump told Republican and Democratic governors he's had "very good talks" with Russian President Vladimir Putin and "not such good talks with Ukraine" about ending Russia’s war in Ukraine.
He also had some rare praise for a Democrat, telling the room that he’s been working well with North Carolina’s new Democratic Gov. Josh Stein, whose state is still recovering from Hurricane Helene.
Following his address to Governors, Trump plans to participate in a swearing-in ceremony for Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick and sign more executive orders.
