THOMASVILLE, Ga. (WCTV)— The Thomasville Community Resource Center was approved for continued funding to support its out-of-school time programs.
The funding comes from the Department of Human Services, Out of School Services, and TCRC has received this grant since 2016.
TCRC said that because of this grant, they have been able to serve over 100 students each year.
More news out of South Georgia:
The program is offered to families as a scholarship and operates every day after school, and includes an eight-week summer program.
This year, TCRC said it is reimbursed for $125,000 and is responsible for matching that.
TCRC said they will be able to serve over 180 students this year and are grateful for the continued support.
“This support allows us to keep our doors open to children who need academic help, social-emotional support, and a safe place to be after school,” TCRC said in a statement. “At a time when many families are facing uncertainty, we remain committed to providing stability, supervision, enrichment, and care.”
