Sherwood Christian senior Tripp Roberts reached his 1,000th career point one week ago during a game at SGA and was honored at center court tonight after scoring his first basket against Georgia Christian.

Roberts said having his family present for the milestone made the achievement special.

“It’s here, my mom, or my entire family, and then my grandmother was able to come for it as well. I mean, it’s awesome that everyone was able to be here for that,” Roberts said. “My dad was a 1,000-point scorer, so that’s really special to me that I was able to do it as well.”

Roberts said he is relieved to have the milestone behind him so he can focus on winning with his team during regionals.
