ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - Fantastic spring weather brought wall to wall sunshine and warm low-mid 90s on Friday. Thankfully the humidity remained low however it rises over the weekend. More sunshine with highs low-mid 90s on Saturday. Through the evening isolated showers are possible in our northern counties otherwise dry.
On Sunday a warm start lows low 70s then hotter mid 90s and more humid with isolated showers through the afternoon. SPC has outlined all of SGA in a Marginal Risk for isolated strong-severe storms later afternoon into the evening. We’ll watch for clusters of storms to push into the area with threats of damaging winds and hail. It’s a low end severe threat but not zero therefore stay alert.
Memorial Day features summer-like hot mid 90s and scattered showers and storms. Not a washout but a few outdoor activities may get wet.
Rain chances ramp up Tuesday through the week as a front stalls across the region. With clouds and rain chances holding highs drop into the mid-upper 80s while lows remain steady upper 60s low 70s.
