RANDOLPH COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) - Randolph County Schools are closed Thursday after district leaders discovered problems with the school system’s network and electrical systems.
The closure affects all Kindergarten through 12th-grade students, as well as the Head Start program.
According to school officials, the issues were detected within the last few hours and are not expected to be resolved until Friday. District leaders anticipate that classes will resume on Friday, Aug. 7, barring any additional complications.
School officials say they will provide updates if any further changes are made to the class schedule.
WALB will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates on-air and online as more information becomes available.
