Description
CLINCH COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) - The Pineland Road Fire continues to burn in heavy southern rough fuels and bays in both Clinch and Echols counties, according to Clinch County Emergency Management Agency.
The fire has burned 32,575 acres with 44% containment, according to Clinch County Emergency Management Agency. Officials said fuel conditions remain extremely dry and the fire is resistant to control.

Crews are working to hold the fire within its strategic containment boundaries: north of Highway 94, west of U.S. 441, south of Thelma Headlight Road and east of Will Rewis Road.
Officials said 267 personnel and 91 resources are assigned to the incident.
Those personnel include:
- Engines
- Dozers
- Tractor-plows
- Aircraft
- Overhead from the Bureau of Land Management, Georgia Forestry Commission, U.S. Forest Service and cooperating agencies
