OCHLOCKNEE, Ga. (WALB) - The owner of a building that collapsed in Ochlocknee on Saturday, June 28, spoke with WALB about the incident.
According to John Griffin, the owner of the building, the mayor of Ochlocknee called around 6 p.m. to notify him that the building had collapsed.
“I got a call at about 6:00 yesterday from the mayor, telling me that the building has collapsed on one side. It fell. I came up here, and this is what we found. Other than that, I’m gonna have to tear it down and start over again,” said Griffin.
Griffin told WALB that no one was injured in the collapse and the building was vacant at the time.
He owns several buildings in the town.
