ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - Albany police are investigating a deadly shooting that occurred late Sunday night in the 600 block of Cochran Avenue.

According to authorities, the incident happened just before 11:30 p.m. on April 5. Investigators say Devonte Lane and another person were leaving a gathering when their vehicle was shot multiple times. Lane was transported to the hospital in a private vehicle, where he later died.

Police are now asking the driver of that vehicle to come forward to speak with investigators.
