Description
ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - Thursday’s persistent rain gradually moved out early evening. Expect a brief lull from the rainy weather before the next round arrives with a cold front on Friday. Ahead of the boundary scattered showers and possibly some strong storms will push across SGA late afternoon into the evening. As the cold front passes, drier air filters in just as the weekend gets underway.
Expect near perfect late May weather with abundant sun, lower humidity and warm highs mid-upper 80s Saturday and Sunday. Mornings will feel really nice with lows low 60s.
Look for more sun with warmer low-mid 90s early week. For now only a slight chance of rain on Wednesday.
By the way, Sunday June 1 begins the 2025 Atlantic Hurricane Season. It’ll start quiet, however, forecasters project an above average season with 13-19 named storms, 6-10 hurricanes and 3-5 major hurricanes a category 3 or higher. Ahead of any potential storms you should have a preparedness plan to keep you and your family safe.
