BLAKELY, Ga. (WALB) — The Blakely Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred on Church Street.

According to the City of Blakely Police Department, the shooting happened between Jackson Street and Georgia Pines on Saturday, Sept. 26.

Police said five people were shot and injured during the shooting. No arrests have been made.

The police department said the Georgia Bureau of Investigation is assisting in the active investigation.

Police are asking residents to only share verified information. Anyone with photos, videos or information is asked to contact police at 229-723-3414.
