ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - The man found unresponsive in the 100 block of S. West Road in Albany has been identified.

According to Dougherty County Coroner Michael Fowler, the man was identified as Michael McConnel, 64.

APD says officers were called to the area at around 8:07 a.m. after a passerby reported finding the man on the roadside.

The man was identified as a 64-year-old.

Police say initial observations showed a vehicle may have been involved.

On-call Traffic investigators have been notified and an investigation is underway.
