SYLVESTER, Ga. (WALB) — One man is dead after a two-vehicle crash in Sylvester, according to the Worth County coroner.

The Georgia State Patrol said Post 40 troopers were dispatched Friday, Oct. 2, at 8:43 p.m. to investigate a two-vehicle crash on Sumner Road in Worth County.

A 2013 BMW 328 was traveling north on Sumner Road near Shingler Little River Road. A 2015 Toyota Tundra was traveling south on Sumner Road. For reasons unknown, the driver of the BMW crossed the center line and struck the Toyota head-on, according to GSP.

The driver of the BMW, 29-year-old Igor Barbosa, of Massachusetts, was pronounced dead by the Worth County coroner at the scene.
