THOMASVILLE, Ga. (WALB) - The Thomasville Police Department (TPD) made an arrest in a June 22 shooting incident.
According to TPD, the shooting incident happened in the 600 block of Glenwood Drive at around 10:30 p.m.
An investigation found that there was a physical altercation between a 44-year-old and a 46-year-old Reginald Arrington. During the fight, TPD said Arrington produced a firearm and shot the victim.
TPD said that Arrington then fled the scene. The victim sought assistance at a nearby residence and called 911.
Police say the victim was taken to Archbold Memorial Hospital, where he is currently receiving treatment.
Shortly after, TPD detectives spoke with Arrington, who then turned himself in without incident.
He is being held on the following charges:
- Aggravated assault
- Cruelty to a child in the second degree
- Possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime
- Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
