ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - Lanes will be closed for construction work on parts of 8th Avenue starting Monday, April 6, city officials said.

Crews will be working on 8th Avenue at North Madison Street around the substation from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.

City officials said the work is expected to take about a week to complete.

Crews will direct drivers around the construction. Officials ask drivers to be patient and prepare for delays.
