VALDOSTA, Ga. (WALB) – A man is behind bars after allegedly threatening a woman with a knife and resisting arrest on Tuesday evening.
According to VPD, on May 27, at around 7:45 p.m., officers responded to a 911 call from a woman at the Ora Lee West Homes on East Ann Street. The victim reported that 34-year-old Tommie Miller had followed her to a friend’s apartment and, when she refused to come outside, began making threats to harm her while brandishing a knife.
Later that night, around 9:30 p.m., the victim called 911 again to report that Miller had returned and was sitting on the porch. Officers arrived, located Miller, and discovered a large steak knife concealed in his clothing.
When officers attempted to place him in a patrol car, Miller resisted and refused to cooperate. He was eventually taken into custody and transported to the Lowndes County Jail.
VPD says, Miller now faces multiple charges, including felony terroristic threats, possession of a knife during the commission of a crime, and three misdemeanor counts of obstruction of an officer.
