(WJAR) — The jurors in the Karen Read murder trial will get their first full day of deliberation on Monday.

Last week, both sides gave their closing arguments in the case against the Bristol County woman accused of killing her Boston police officer boyfriend, John O’Keefe, during a snowstorm in 2022.

Read has pleaded not guilty to three charges, including second-degree murder.

Her defense claims that someone else is responsible for the death.

This is the second trial.

Last summer, Karen Read's first murder trial ended in a mistrial; the jury could not come to a verdict.
