According to GSP, the driver of the Encore crossed the center line into the northbound lane, hitting the Mustang on its front left side. The Encore left the road and flipped, landing on its roof. The Mustang spun and stopped in the middle of GA 111, blocking both lanes.
Just moments after the first crash, another wreck happened, GSP says.
In this incident, an 18-wheeler was headed south on GA 111 hit the Mustang that was in the middle of the road from the first crash.
Both drivers involved in the initial head-on crash were taken to a hospital with serious injuries.
