THOMASVILLE, Ga. (WALB) - A dog in Thomasville who WALB reported was abandoned at a shelter in Thomasville has now been adopted.

The Thomasville Humane Society (THS) announced a dog in their care – Roadie – was adopted by a second family on June 24. After being adopted for the first time, Roadie was left back at the shelter early one morning before staff arrived.

THS said that Roadie has been in their care for over 200 days. They said his new owners knew there was something special about Roadie from the moment they met him.
