COFFEE COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) - A Douglas man has been arrested and charged for sexual exploitation of children after nearly a 5-month-long investigation into his online activity.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) has arrested and charged Daniel Blake Ogden, 35, of Douglas, Ga. with sexual exploitation of children.

In November 2024, the GBI CEACC Unit began an investigation into Ogden’s online activity after receiving a Cyber Tipline Report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) regarding the possible online possession and distribution of child sexual abuse material.

Through the investigation with the assistance of the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office, the GBI was able to arrest Ogden, and he was booked into the Coffee County Jail.

According to the GBI, this investigation is part of the ongoing effort by the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, a program that was developed in response to the increasing number of children and teenagers using the internet, the proliferation of child sexual abuse material, and the heightened online activity by predators searching for unsupervised contact with underage victims.
