Description

ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - A high-ranking gang member has pled guilty in federal court for his involvement in a wide-reaching methamphetamine trafficking ring.

On Wednesday, Nov. 13, Donald Jason Miles aka “Crash” a.k.a. “Cocho,” 39, of Forsyth, pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine, according to the Department of Justice. He faces a minimum of 10 years to a maximum of life in prison followed by 10 years of supervised release and a maximum $10 million fine.

Officials say Miles is a member of the Ghostface Gangsters (GFG).

According to court documents as part of the DOJ’s report, Miles helped recruit Keeli Wallace, a co-defendant in the case, as a drug courier months before her arrest after a 2022 drug bust at a Motel 6 in Albany.

When he was already serving time in Valdosta State Prison, officials also reportedly found contraband on mobile phones with details on methamphetamine trafficking.

Miles had previous convictions in cases related to drug possession and conspiracy in Cobb and Gwinnett counties.

“This career criminal continued his drug trafficking activities despite being incarcerated, demonstrating his complete and wanton disregard for the safety of our community,” said Robert J. Murphy, Special Agent in Charge of the DEA Atlanta Division. “DEA’s efforts in bringing him to justice will ensure this high-ranking gang member spends even more time in prison.”
