ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) —An armed robbery occurred on Monday, Sept. 14, at GX Market in the 2400 block of N. Slappey Blvd.
Officials say they responded to the scene at around 4 a.m. after a male entered the store holding a black handgun.
Albany Police Department’s (APD) Criminal Investigations Bureau arrested 36-year-old Eric Williams.

“The suspect took money from the business before fleeing on foot. Although the suspect was wearing what appeared to be a surgical mask, the victims recognized him due to his frequent visits to the store.”
Williams was charged with Armed Robbery and taken to the Dougherty County Jail, according to APD.
