THOMAS COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) - A former law enforcement officer was arrested by the Thomas County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO), they announced on May 29.
TCSO said Carroll Lee Roberts, a 49-year-old, was charged with aggravated assault on a Peace Officer. The sheriff’s office said that Roberts pointed a shotgun at a Coolidge Police Officer.
Officials did not specify what law enforcement agency Roberts was formerly a member of.
TCSO’s announcement said Roberts was booked into the Thomas County Jail.
The sheriff’s office said they are investigating the incident. No further details were provided.
