ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — Terrence Gore, an MLB veteran who was a part of the Atlanta Braves’ 2021 World Series team, has died at 34.

Gore was in the league for eight years, primarily with the Kansas City Royals. In a Saturday news release, the MLB said he was known for his “dynamic baserunning.”

On social media, the Atlanta Braves posted a photo of Gore with the caption, “Rest in peace, Terrance.”

Gore was born in Macon, Georgia. He played for the Royals from 2014 to 2017 and in 2019, appearing for several other teams across the country as well.

In 2021, Gore signed a contract with the Gwinnett Stripers, the Braves’ minor league baseball team. He made his only appearance for the Braves as a pinch-runner in Game 2 of the National League Division Series against the Milwaukee Brewers.

Terrance Gore = the ultimate teammate. The 3-time World Series champ video chatted Charlie Morton after the final out so he could celebrate with the @Braves.
