TIFTON, Ga. (WALB) - A community event for mothers and daughters will be held in Tifton next month.

Organizer Shanetta Tumbling-Harris will host the first annual mother-daughter dance on May 2 from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Leroy Rogers Center, located at 315 West 2nd Street in Tifton.

The event is open to all ages. Entry is $50 for two people.

The semi-formal event will feature a DJ and food.
