Description
ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — A federal judge is unsealing the U.S. Department of Justice’s case against Fulton County, according to Fulton County Board of Commissioners Chairman Robb Pitts.
The move is expected to provide new details about why the Justice Department has requested the names, addresses and phone numbers of every Fulton County election worker who participated in the 2020 election.
Atlanta News First is working to obtain a copy of the judge’s order.
The development comes months after the FBI seized 2020 election ballots during a January raid at the Fulton County Elections Hub.
That investigation is examining potential violations, though authorities have not publicly detailed the nature of those allegations.
It is unclear whether the Justice Department’s case and the FBI investigation are related.
