ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - A mother is appealing to the community for help finding her daughter, who’s been missing in Dougherty County since Feb. 15 of this year.

Family describes Annicka McDonald as a 5ft 10in Black woman who weighs about 125 pounds. She has dark brown hair and brown eyes.

On Apr. 15, Annicka’s 28th birthday, her mother, Wendy McDonald, who lives out of state, is asking the community for any answers they have in her disappearance.

“Do we think something bad has happened? We’re praying and hoping nothing bad has happened, but we can’t really say that it did or did not.”

The Albany Police Department (APD) reported to its Facebook page on March 11 that Annicka was last seen at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.

According to an incident report released by APD, the family of Annicka hired a private investigator before contacting police to help find Annicka.

“She used a random person’s phone at Phoebe Hospital to call us because she didn’t have her phone to call us,” Wendy said. “She was very distraught and in a panic, and that’s not like Annicka. She didn’t sound like herself at all.”

Wendy also said that everyone has eyes in the community, and can help her in a time of need.
