Description
ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - The Dougherty State Court has issued a standing order addressing the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in court documents, emphasizing that attorneys and self-represented litigants remain responsible for the accuracy of everything they file.
According to the order, anyone submitting documents to the court must verify all information and citations, including any content created with AI tools. The order specifically states that any AI-generated citations included in filings must be reviewed and confirmed by a human to ensure they are accurate.
The standing order also spells out limited purposes for which AI tools may be used within court operations.
