ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) — The Albany Chapter of The Links, Incorporated is bringing brunch with a purpose to Southwest Georgia with its “Cupcakes, Cocktails and Fedoras for a Cure” event.
The fundraiser was featured on this week’s Dialogue, with co-chair Sheri Barlow and cancer warrior Kendra Williams explaining how the event supports breast cancer screenings for women in Southwest Georgia and why early detection is critical.
The event will begin with brunch, cocktails, live music and fellowship on Sunday, Nov. 1 from 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Doublegate Country Club, 3800 Old Dawson Road in Albany. Doors open at 12:15 p.m. The event is for those who are 21 and older.
Proceeds will help fund breast cancer screenings in Southwest Georgia.
Dialogue also highlighted Phoebe’s 2026 Women’s Health Fair, which will include free health screenings for Southwest Georgia women.
